Who Am I?

Permit me then, in lieu of the more commonplace sobriquet, to suggest the character of this dramatis persona.

I’m Ched. This is about as social as I get now. Here’s an update for this Substack that will give you a sense of what I’m on about. But first, an emotional image of a forest in the morning light to let you know I’m a serious and contemplative person. With a path to suggest that I’m going places.

What to Expect

Monthly updates and reflections on my current research and writing projects:

• I’m currently working on a curated volume of selections from early church theologian Irenaeus of Lyons.

• I’m teaching courses on biblical theology, canon formation, the Gospels, theological method, and hermeneutics.

• I’m producing a podcast that includes interviews with pastors & authors alongside occasional devotional reflections on biblical texts and theological themes.

• I’m working on projects in Chronicles, Matthew, and Hebrews.

• I’m writing and reviewing works in my field of biblical and theological studies.

• I’m seeking to create and curate dank memes.

Mostly, I’ll provide a semi-coherent update on some, or all, or none of these topics on a monthly basis with sporadic reflections in between (deo volente & if the creek don’t rise).
